About Us

Ambient Systems is a "second generation" manufacturers' agent specializing in process treatment equipment for water and wastewater applications. Our customer base is comprised mainly of municipal water and wastewater plants, consulting engineers that work with municipal plants, and industrial clients in food processing, power, pharmaceutical, chemical, and manufacturing.

Long-time customers of Raines and Associates, started in 1964 by Charles F. Raines and continued by Norm Abbott in 1987, knew they could find answers fast and buy quality water treatment products at fair prices with prompt delivery.

Greg Wymore, in outside sales with Raines and Associates for 27 years based out of the Cedar Rapids, IA, office, started Ambient with the intent of carrying on that tradition based on Charlie's and Norm's tried and true sales philosophy of helping our industrial and municipal customers solve their water and wastewater treatment problems.

We will continue to strive to deliver first-rate products as quickly as possible at a fair price. Our primary concern is that our customers receive the finest in customer service. Experience has taught us that customers buy where they know that their purchase will be backed by responsible customer service.
